Midway BMX Extravaganza

Its that time of year again for the Bmx contest of the year. Last years went over really well and hopefully we can keep it going strong because it always a fun time and new shit goes down every year that I have never seen at the park. The prizes are looking really good...thanks to all of em that are helping out. Kink, Profile, S & M, Fit, Odyssey, Animal, Enemy Clothing, UGP, and Standard. You better be there cause its gonna be a kick ass time.

ALL FRESHIES ALL THE TIME

This past weekend we had the Freshies Lock In and it was a great time. King of the Park was a big hit and some wild stuff went down. Team Ratface ended up taking 1st, Team Ramrod 2nd, and Team Skeetskeet 3rd. Thanks to all who came out and supported Freshies and Midway. Also here is the 3rd Freshies Webisode feature, myself (Dan~imal), Alec Kumrow, Matt Russel, Lord Andy, Jeff Szortyka, and Collin Eisch. It was a fun time riding and clocking some footage. Look for more episodes in the future.

Lock In Flyer

Summer is Here

Summer hours will be starting June 18th. Midway will open at 2pm. on Thursdays and Fridays, and the some hours on the weekend. The pass couple weekends some filming and picture taking has been going on at Midway for the Freshies Webisodes. Its been a fun time and some gnarly stuff has been going on. Freshies is a webisode feature that a Midway Local "Lord Andy Szortyka" has been working on. The first episode features him and a couple of freinds from Colorado snowboarding in the mountains. Mothers Day

Midway will be closed on Mothers Day which is May 10th. Look for a Freshies Webisode which will be coming soon. Freshies is a video production which Midway Local Lord Andy Szortyka films and edits snowboarding, skating, and biking in Colorado and Wisconsin scene. Big shout out to Midways friend Lil Jon on all of his exposure in the Kink video and ads. We are all proud of you Lil Jon and have fun in the Northwest at Windells. Keep your eye out for him he shreds on a bike.

Weekend Warriors

Sorry for the lack of updates...Plenty of the Dead End Army dudes have been coming to the park every weekend which is sweet. On Friday we had 47 people at the park probably the biggest turn out in one day in the history of the park. Thanks to everyone that came out and rode. I am going to try to get going on a Web Edit to put up soon. Check back soon for more updates.

If you don't know by now Midway will be closing at 8pm every Sunday from now on. Also on Saturday April 4th the park will close at 9pm so please make sure that you have a ride home by that time. Skating Still Alive

Couple of weeks ago the Midway Crew took a trip down to Cream City Skatepark for a late night rent out session. Some good things went down and even some of the bikers got some footage of skating. Overall it was a fun night with some slams and good laughs. Zak made a little video edit and it turned out sweet. Also this past weekend we had the most skaters in a weekend so far this winter. Maybe it is picking back up at Midway and it is nice to see bikers and skaters getting along, and encouraging one another at Midway like they have the past 4 years. Well thats all for now here is the video of the Cream City rent out, Thanks Zak.

Midway News!

First of all, Thanks to everyone that came out over the warm weekend. We appreciate you guys coming out and riding. Second, Midway is making some changes to the proshop, so if you come and things seem different don't freak out. Also remember if you do not yet have a new waiver for 2009 get one. Either have you parents come in and sign it, or get it notorized at you local courthouse. If you are over 18, don't worry bout it. Finally, couple weeks ago we shot some photos (like the one above) and had a little bit of fun with it. Click here for more pics. Damn it is cold out side...with the tempuratures dropping severly the next couple of days we are going to be closed Thursday, January 15th and Friday January 16th. Sorry for any inconvinince. We will be open Saturday and Sunday our normal hours. Thanks everyone for supporting us through the cold and warm times. We wish all you readers out there a Happy New Year! Also we hope that this will be one of the best years of Midway's life time so far. Thanks to everyone that came out and suppored the rider owned skatepark in 2008. Midway may be making a few changes to the park in the months to come, but that is all a secret and you will just have to keep come riding to see these improvments to the park. Sorry for the small amount of updates lately but I will try to keep the Midway News fresh and exciting. Also don't forget if you are not over 18 you must have your parents present to sign a new waiver or go to the your local court system and get it notorized.

New Year Resolution

This New Year of 2009 that is coming up Midway is going to be having new waivers for the 2009 sease. So starting in 2009, if you are not over 18, your parent needs to get it NOTORIZED at your local courthouse or be present when they sign the waiver. We know that this may cause some problems for you and us but it is what we need to do because we are a legit business and want MIDWAY to stay open for a long time and hope that all you kids do to. So go to http://www.midwayskatepark.com/ , print out a new waiver, get it notorized, and then come shred Midway in 2009. Hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

I was at Midway everyday this past weekend (what a suprise, not) not just because I work there but because it is possibly one of the best places to ride around. We were lucky to have nice kind of warm weather that it was bareable to ride in. Ton's of people came out and most of the Dead End Army dudes showed up through out the weekend which was good to see. There was a ton of good riding that went down and a lot of people that showed up to suppport the rider owned skatepark. Hopefully people will keep on coming so we can keep doing what we do for a long time to come. Thanks again to everyone for supporting us.

Ps. The poll is not real and what you vote on may not happen, I was just trying to see what people were interested in. Even though all you kids may want a foam pit it will likely not happen. Sorry

December Hours

(This goes to show that we are the, "Middle of No where, but diffenitely somewhere!" skatepark)

Since most High Schools and other local school have a day off on Friday, December, 12th we will be opening at 2pm for you to come and shred our park for two more hours at the same price of $8. Also we will be closed December 25th and 26th due to the holidays. Hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday. Hopefully you crazy kids will keep on coming so we can keep this park up and running. We just want to give people a place to ride and you guys make that happen. So thank you for everyone supporting us as we are going on our 5th year of being open. We couldn't have done it with out you.

Midway Still Going Strong

As everyone in Wisconsin that goes to Midway you know that it is cold, snowy, and icy. Since Midway has no heat, because we can not afford it right now, you people still come out and ride our ramps even in this cold weather. I just want to take some time and thank everyone that rides here and supports a local and rider owned skatepark. Hopefully riders will keep coming all winter long and ride. You guys and some girls are what keeps us going and allows us to stay open all year long and keep the setup fresh and new. Thank you again to everyone that comes to the "middle of no where but diffently somewhere" park and rides.

SKATE LOCK~IN CANCELLED

The Skate Lock~In for Saturday, November 22nd has been cancelled due to intrest. We are sorry for any inconvienence (if that is how you spell it). This goes to show how much skating has died around Midway, we seem to be getting bikers from all over the state but no skaters at all. Hopefully someday it will pick up again and be back in full swing along with the crazy bmx that has been going on here. Well hopefully we will see you here soon shreding up the gnar.

Midway BMX Lock-IN

Saturday November 8th, we will be holding a BMX Lock-in at Midway. The cost is only $20 and there will be fun, food, and a ton of shreding going on. Come to the premier indoor skatepark in Wisconsin and support your local skatepark, that supports you. Everything will kick off around 10pm and last until around 7am. There will be prizes for you to win and a great time for you to have.

Blacktooth Skateboards

Tonight the guys from Blacktooth Skateboards are coming to the park and to shred some major gnar. I have seen these guys before and they can get kinda crazy. It is going to be a wild time. Hopefully some of you kids can come and check it out tonight. They will be getting there around 7pm or so. In the past couple of weeks I have noticed that the skating scene is down. Don't know what is quite going on there...we need to get it back up and rollin. Even though I am not a skater I support those who do it at Midway and who have a good time. Come and support your local skatepark.

Midway's 3rd BMX Extravaganza

Last Saturday we here at Midway had a great show out for our third year of the contest. First of all thanks to everyone that come out and rode the new set up.
